In our last couple of visits to Middle-earth, we were struck by how much more brutal the action has been recently. It is interesting that this is the first time Warner Bros. has been able to use the rights to Tolkien’s books in conjunction with Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy. Another feature to point out is that this action role-playing game features a strong cooperative element as you delve into Middle-earth’s violent conflict. The folks from WB Games have let us know that WarInTheNorth.com has been updated. From the website: As you’ve probably already noticed, we’ve updated WarInTheNorth.com to better reflect the distinct visual style of War in the North. The new homepage makes it easier to see what’s new, whether it’s the latest trailer, community video, or additional info about the characters, enemies, locations, or features in the game. A new community tab highlights a member of community, shows the latest Facebook updates, and provides quick access to our forums.
Most importantly, we’re looking to make sure that the site is updated regularly. 2011 is going to be full of exciting news about the game that we can’t wait to share with you, and you’ll find it all here on WarInTheNorth.com. More..
Xoanon here, having landed in Seattle for PAX this afternoon and visiting the hardworking folks at the WB Games booth. WB has several titles on display here, from ‘Aragorn’s Quest’ and WB/Turbine’s ‘Lord of the Rings Online’. The main attraction here is ‘Lord of the Rings: War in the North’. WB has setup a huge booth complete with a WETA Ringwraith and 3 massive screens. Dev teams will be playing a Mirkwood level from ‘War in the North’ and answering questions from press and fans alike.
