That to me is just the cherry on top of things when it comes to this set because the Gollum and Smeagol figures are so well done. If you’ve been loving the awesome 1:6 scale line of figures from our friends at Asmus Toys, then we’re pleased to announce a new figure coming your way. Now, you’re going to have to wait until the second quarter of next year; but fans will be able to add Bilbo Baggins himself to their collections! Bilbo comes in priced at $185(USD), and he’s going to come with a lot of goodies. These accessories include his pipe, book, cup, backpack, traveling jacket and stick; not forgetting the One Ring! He also has his beautifully colourful attire, hairy Hobbit feet and many hand options, too. Most excitingly, Asmus has included an interchangeable head from the famous Rivendell scene of ‘Possessed Bilbo’! This is something of a surprise to all who were so eagerly waiting for his release. This Bilbo is a very welcome addition to the various versions of this figure, and is one we are sure will make many appearances within collectors’ displays!
Our friends at Asmus Toys have launched a new line of collectibles that I believe fans are really going to love. Starting this Fall, fans will be able to acquire what Asmus is refering to as limited articulation figures. The first collectible that fans will be able to snag is the Balrog; which, as a fan of this character, makes me very happy. It’s really exceptional looking. If space is an issue don’t fret, because this statue is coming in at 11 inches tall with the wings. (Other figures Lurtz and the newly teased Azog will both be in the 8″ tall range.) You can get the Balrog right now at Sideshow for $110, which is a great price point for collectors. If you’re looking to get something that is cool, doesn’t take up a ton of shelf space, and has a price point that may enable you to collect them all, I think you’ll want to check this out.
Our friends at Asmus Toys have a very cool new 1:6 figure coming your way between July and September of this year. Who is it? None other than Arwen herself! Fans can add to their collections this beautiful Arwen figure, from the moment during The Return of the King when the life of the Eldar is leaving her. As you can see in the photos below, the sculpting, which is a brand new sculpt, and detailing on this figure look absolutely fantastic. This figure is approximately 28.5cm tall and has over 34 points of articulation. Depending on your budget, the folks at Asmus have two different versions for you to collect: fans can acquire the collector’s edition for $190, or if you’d like, you can get the exclusive version for $250. You get everything the collector’s edition includes, and you also get that beautiful daybed she is lying on in that sequence.
If you loved our last post about the Q-Bitz figures coming from our friends at Asmus Toys, then you’re going to love this one as well! Later this year there are more of these awesome figures coming, and they will include some fan favorites like Gandalf, Legolas, and Frodo. If you like the baddies then you’re in luck as well, with a new Uruk-hai in the mix of this assortment.
If you are collecting their awesome 1:6th scale figures then you’re also going to love this post. Galadriel is getting some love from the folks at Asmus. The likeness looks to be very, very good, and it also comes with her mirror, which adds some great diorama building options with the previously released Frodo figure. Fans can snag Galadriel right now from places like Sideshow Collectibles, for $195 – with her shipping this month.
Our friends at Asmus Toys just keep turning out some of the best 1:6 figures you’ve seen, of the many beloved characters from Middle-earth. We want to make you aware that there are two more figures out now that folks can order. Fans can buy the incredible-looking Elven Warrior and Elven Archer figures, and start recreating The Battle of the Last Alliance. These very detailed figures can be ordered right now, and ship from our friends at Sideshow Collectibles in the next couple of months, for $190.
Here’s what the folks from Asmus Toys have to say about these awesome figures:
“ One by one, free lands in Middle-earth fell to the power of the Ring. But there were some who resisted. A last alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of Mordor, and on the slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of Middle-earth.
Asmus Toys are proud to introduce the latest releases from their The Lord of the Rings 1/6th scale collectible line: Elven Warrior & Elven Archer!
From the Battle of Dagorlad, where they stood along side Elrond and Gil-galad as the forces of Sauron drew ever closer. These elite High Elven soldiers instantly wowed audiences in the First Age prologue of The Fellowship of the Ring.
The team at Asmus Toys have shown their commitment to delve deep into the world of The Lord of the Rings by giving collectors a chance to own some of the lesser known heroes of the story. This pairing perfectly accompanies the existing Elrond release and allows for so many more display options for those who desire an expanse of both main and background characters.
Both products come with brand new, beautifully crafted gold armored attire! Standing at approximately 30cm tall, with over 34 points of articulation; they also include an Elven shield and spear, long sleeved hooded chainmail and removable helmets which reveal a different head sculpt for each figure!
The ‘Elven Warrior’ carries a devastating double-handed Elven blade, which tucks away nicely into a rear worn scabbard. With an abundance of accessories, it’s hard to know which weapons to display this guy with!
What ‘Elven Archer’ would be complete without their Elven longbow? At around the same height as the archer, its length gave them the greatest shooting range, allowing them to take down enemies from afar. This accessory is accompanied by an elegant quiver and a mighty ten Elven arrows!
