Entertainment Weekly LogoMarc Bernardin from Entertainment Weekly writes: I will take any opportunity to see The Lord of the Rings in a full-blown theater, my love for those films is so great. Heck, I almost pilgrimaged to Austin to see it at the Alamo Drafthouse, where they’ll feed you whatever the Hobbits ate — while they’re eating on screen! (Hobbits eat rabbit stew, you eat rabbit stew. Hobbits eat lembas bread, you eat…Ritz crackers, probably. Hobbits gallivant on the bed, you sit uncomfortably in your seat.) More..

The Lovely BonesThanks to Diane and Justin for sending word that the first trailer for Peter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones,” is now available. Jackson’s adaptation of Alice Sebold’s novel is due to hit theaters December 11, just in time for Oscar season. It is the first feature he has directed since “King Kong,” in 2005. Jackson introduced the clip looking pretty much exactly like he did at the Comic-Con geek summit. Our guess is he filmed the intro while in California last week. Watch it right here.

Comic-ConSlave Boy Films was at Comic-Con last week and crept into TheOneRing.net’s presentation on an unofficial look at the pair of Hobbit movies. The TORn presentation was Thursday, only hours before Peter Jackson arrived at city of geeks (120,000 strong) who had assembled at San Diego to drink deeply of all the flavors of popular culture. TheOneRing filled every one of the 400 seats in its assigned room with plenty left standing outside in a line but thanks to Slave Boy, the presentation is now available for anybody and everybody.
