fotrOn prime time television last night in the U.S. the American Film Institute named “The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings,” as the #2 fantasy movie of all time as part of its program of the 10 best films in 10 genres. “The Wizard of Oz,” won the top fantasy film ever according to the group which releases “top” lists occasionally that stir up discussion about films. Cast members Sean Astin and Dominic Monaghan each were featured in clips talking about FOTR as well as other films included in the program. Dominic Monaghan Lost star Dominic Monaghan has taken a break from acting to get behind the camera. An exhibition of his photographs titled “Happy Accidents” opens this Friday in West Hollywood, featuring pictures of his co-stars from Lost and Lord of the Rings. dommonaghan.jpgIt turns out the multi-talented Dominic Monaghan is a photographer as well as an accomplished actor and singer. Contactmusic.com reports that his photo exhibition, entitled “Happy Accidents,” will run from March 14 to April 27, 2008 at Hamilton-Selway Fine Art in West Hollywood.

“Happy Accidents refers to those moments where you don’t expect what is going to happen, but it ends up being something good.”

DomJust Jared is reporting that LOTR veteran Dominic Monaghan will play ‘Beak’ in the next installment of the X-Men Movies ‘X-men: Wolverine.’

According to Wikipedia, Barnell’s body changes into that of a humanoid-bird form, with a beaked face, bulbous eyes, wing-like arms that give him the ability to fly (albeit clumsily), talons on his hands and feet, and double-jointed knees. In mutant form, Beak also possesses heightened agility, and he may possess heightened senses and a lighter skeletal structure like the avian X-Man formerly known as the Angel
