HOME TIME – putting children in the frame, Leading children’s charity Barnardo’s and a host of well known faces have joined forces with acclaimed photographer Cambridge Jones in a pioneering bid to find permanent homes for the thousands of children awaiting adoption across the UK. Home Time – photography finding a home is an innovative and exciting exhibition which highlights just some of the thousands of children in the care system who have nowhere to call home.
Their stories are the focus of a new exhibition which opens at the Getty Images Gallery in London on April 24. High profile names such as Cherie Blair, Mario Testino, Gail Porter, Sam Taylor-Wood, Laura Bailey, Andrew Lincoln, Claudia Winkleman and Sean Bean have so far offered to become guest photographers for the day to get a snapshot of their lives. ITV is producing another Sharpe tale starring Sean Bean scheduled to screen later in 2008. Sharpe’s Peril takes up where the 2006 two-parter, watched by seven million viewers, left off. Sharpe and Harper lead an East India Company train through enemy territory and face off the inevitable bandit attack. The adventure is part of a new raft of dramas scheduled by ITV for the autumn. Today this good fortune and hard work culminate when the artist releases a lithograph celebrating “The Fellowship of the Ring,” film released in 2001.
At the San Diego Comic-Con 2001, Elijah Wood walked around the mammoth floor of convention floor drinking in the celebration of popular culture and keeping his eye out for hints of how the world might accept the movie he had worked on that was about to overwhelm popular culture, the first film in Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings.”

Sean Bean is to star in the big screen adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance. US stars Lindsay Lohan and Annette Bening have also been cast in the movie. Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance first appeared on stage at London’s Haymarket Theatre in 1893. Prunella Scales, Samantha Bond and Rupert Graves starred in a stage production at the same theatre in 2003. [More]
