Turbine today kicks off the North American closed Beta for the upcoming The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) Free-to-Play. Beta participants will help shape and refine new content and features to be introduced in Volume 3, Book 2, as well as the new in-game Store, when LOTRO Free-to-Play launches this fall.
Turbine has also released the very first screenshots showing off the new LOTRO store.
Volume 3, Book 2 will launch across North America and Europe (with Codemasters operating the game free-to-play in Europe) and will introduce Turbine’s innovative new pricing model to the game, as well as extending the award-winning story.
