The multitasking, multimedia storyteller and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and author and co-writer with GDT on “The Strain,” Chuck Hogan, have delivered to New York Times readers an op-ed contribution about “Why Vampires Never Die.” Ringers Rock brought it to our attention on TORn’s message boards and we wanted to share it with everybody.
It starts: “TONIGHT, you or someone you love will likely be visited by a vampire — on cable television or the big screen, or in the bookstore. Our own novel describes a modern-day epidemic that spreads across New York City.” Peter Jackson tells us del Toro and his writing team are only weeks away from delivering the first draft of the first “Hobbit” movie.
