Yes, he’s (DDL) refused, and he’s actually quite angry that they keep offering him the part…
…Townsend was NOT creating problems for anyone..
…he was sacked because PJ actually did come to believe that he was wrong for Aragorn, and the execs were in full agreement (though for different reasons)…
‘ScriptDoctor’ also believes that Townsend was ‘let go’ and did not quit. And that Daniel Day-Lewis will NEVER bring up this affair. DDL did not care for the Money or the fame, and just wanted no part of these films. 🙁
